Website Design for a Worldwide Corporation
Cubic Corporation is the parent company of multiple business units that provide innovative technology and an integrated approach to systems and services for government and commercial customers around the globe. Founded in San Diego, California in 1951, Cubic now has a presence in nearly 60 countries, employs over 8,000 people worldwide, and is a multi-billion dollar company.
The Challenge
As a diversified systems and services company in the transportation and defense industries, Cubic’s distinct divisions each needed the ability to independently manage their own websites, but they also required a unified look, feel, and user experience. As the home of Cubic’s corporate identity, it was essential to highlight their mission as well as each of their divisions while making the websites accessible to both prospects and investors.
What Web Ascender Did
Our team delivered a sustainable solution that lets Cubic manage all of their content across each division and make updates on their own. We have worked with Cubic for more than eight years to integrate each of their business units into a comprehensive web presence.
- Worked with Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS) to implement a new design using the DotNetNuke content management system, with multi-language and localization features for a UK version of the site
- Recovered and seamlessly integrated content from NextBus - a separate, compromised site - into the CTS website within a tight timeline
- Overhauled the Mission Support Services (MSS) division website to match brand standards, with a custom mapping solution to identify locations
- Designed a custom website for Cubic Advanced Learning Solutions to portray them as a leader in game-based learning
- Built an intranet site for over 8,000 employees, plus internet marketing strategies and onsite conversion optimization
The Results
Working on Cubic’s main corporate website let us understand the ins and outs of their business, which carried over into collaborating on a number of other web projects across different divisions. The result is an effective, integrated, and comprehensive online presence.
