WordPress Plugin: WYSIWYG Editor

By March 19, 2014 No Comments

WordPress provides a handful of great out-of-the-box widgets for you to use on your website. These widgets allow you to add new features and content directly into any available sidebar, giving you more power to create a unique, custom look.

If you’ve ever tried working with the Text widget, you’ll know that it is one of the more basic widgets at your disposal.

The Text widget works well if you want to add a couple lines of plain text or HTML. However, without a WYSIWYG editor in the text widget, if you want to quickly insert links, images or any other formatted content, you’ll find it to be quite challenging. Enter, Black Studio TinyMCE Widget.

This widget extends the WordPress Text widget’s functionality by embedding a TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor directly into the content frame. This means you can quickly style your content without worrying about writing any additional HTML. Best of all, they’ve included the same Add Media button found on any page or post edit screen making it a snap to insert great looking photos and galleries.

Black Studio TinyMCE is available on WordPress’s Plugin Directory here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget. Go ahead and give it a try. Like many other WordPress plugins, Black Studio TinyMCE is completely free.

Happy WordPressing!
