Web Ascender reflects on 2007

By January 8, 2008 No Comments

Web Ascender has had a great 2007, and we look forward to a great 2008.  We have included some Web Ascender factoids that may be of some interest to all of our favorite people.

Web Ascender donated its time to Non-Profits

In 2007 Web Ascender offered more than $10,000 in free website design, development, and non-profit related services.  Do you know of some non-profit organizations that work for a good cause that we can help in 2008?  If so, have them contact us and we will do what we can to make their new year merry and bright!

Assisted many small, medium and large businesses

In 2007 we were involved with over 65 web development projects! Our smallest client was a sole proprietor who uses their website to showcase their art and talents, and our largest client has over 500 employees and does around ½ billion dollars in revenue a year.   We provide the same excellent support and dedication to both.

We focused on helping the local economy

Web Ascender clients are predominantly in the Greater Lansing area.  We have calculated that approximately 75% are from the Mid-Michigan area, 15% from Metro Detroit, 5% in Grand Rapids and the remaining 5% outside the state of Michigan.  We love working with local companies and helping them grow their business.

Web Ascender moved to a new location

We moved into our new location in Okemos in early December. We are having a fun time outfitting the new office with furniture, new computer gadgets, and my Christmas present: a brand new color laser printer!  Look for photos of our new space in a future issue.

Our high quality services equal high retention rates

We pride ourselves on the quality of our website products and our dedication to our customers.  In 2007 we had at least 99.95% server uptime and have only had two clients cancel service since we founded Web Ascender.  One of these clients had a website that was generating so many leads for their side-business that they couldn’t keep up!  They decided to close shop for a while because their website was a hobby and they couldn’t dedicate the time they needed (seems like an odd choice to us, but of course it’s their business) and the other canceled the project once they realized a client of theirs could do it on trade. Not too bad.
Our commitment to high quality and customer service will continue into 2008 and beyond.

Web Ascender’s 2008 New Year’s Resolutions

Some of our goals for 2008:

  • Only hire the brightest and best for our website and Internet marketing teams;
  • Take on new clients and projects, while remaining dedicated to our existing clients
  • Continue to improve our skills as a company in web design, content management implementation, search engine marketing and custom web development

Look for announcements in the second quarter about when to expect a release of a new Web Ascender product and a new sponsored Web Ascender blog to serve our peers in the web design industry.
We hope you enjoy our newsletters in 2008!
