The Michigan Dental Association used a Microsoft e-commerce platform know as bcentral for many years to allow their members and non-members to purchase products from their organization. However, with very little notice Microsoft discontinued support for bcentral and the MDA was forced to find another e-commerce platform to use to sell their products. That’s when they contacted Web Ascender.
Web Ascender worked with MDA to analyze how their previous shopping cart system worked. What worked well about it? What needed improvements? And what new features were required? Web Ascender then tailored our Microsoft .NET e-commerce system to fit all of the Michigan Dental Associations needs.
Web Ascender took extra steps to ensure that the design of the store reflected their corporate brand and corresponded to their other web materials. Web Ascender also made significant changes to the layout of products and the entire shopping experience to make it easy for doctors and their staff to use.
