AIS Construction Equipment has been serving customers with their construction equipment needs for over 40 years. Between the primary AIS group and their subsidiaries they have over 11 locations in Michigan. AIS needed a way to better inform the public of all the services they offer as well as a convenient way for their customers to view their used inventory.
The used inventory section of the AIS construction equipment site is the most used area of the website. Companies in Lansing Michigan to companies in the middle east use the website to shop for used construction equipment. It was important that the website have an accurate representation of their in stock inventory. To do this Web Ascender worked with AIS to create REST web services against their Lotus Notes database. The AIS website can then query all of the inventory and display pictures that are stored in their internal products database. Web Ascender also built convenient ways for customers to contact AIS such as: Email a question, Chat online, Send to a friend and of course easy access to the phone number and person to ask for when calling.
